Iron Planes,

With Composite Bottom.

These Planes are offered with the full assurance that they will completely meet the approval of a discerning public. They are beautifully finished, and the plane irons are made from the finest quality of steel, and FULLY WARRANTED

1. A Composite Bottom, the bottom of the Plane being inlaid with Rosewood strips firmly and immovably dove-tailed into the iron, and so combined as to prevent the wood from wearing away, by which improvement one of the greatest objections to Iron Planes is avoided, viz. : the clinging of the Plane when in use to the work. This great improvement will be appreciated at sight.

2. Our Patented Improved method of fastening the cutter in the Plane, doing away with the heavy third iron used in some planes, and enabling us to use a HEAVIER CUTTING IRON, thereby avoiding all possibility of CHATTERING, and enabling the user to adjust the cutter with a facility and exactness not approached by any other in the market.

3. Our Patented Improved manner of adjusting the cap iron, by which the cap can be removed and replaced with great rapidity and exactness.

4. Our Patented Adjustable Mouth, presenting an entirely new way by which the mouth may be made wide or narrow with great ease, as the work may require.
